Baptism in the Brunswick Moreland Catholic Community

We are delighted that you have chosen to have your child baptised in our community. Please take a moment to review the information below. Once you have selected a date, kindly complete the attached form and return it to us.

Baptism Dates 2025

Baptisms are celebrated once a month at the following times and locations:

• First Sunday of the month at 12:30 pm – St Fidelis’

• Second Sunday of the month at 12:30 pm – St Joseph’s

• Third Sunday of the month at 11:45 am – St Ambrose’s

• Fourth Saturday of the month at 4:00 pm – Our Lady Help of Christians

Baptism program starting 2026

From the beginning of 2026, baptism program at BMCC is as follows:

• First Sunday of the month: attend the Rite of Welcome at St Ambrose’s at 10:30am

• Second Sunday of the month: Baptism St Fidelis’ at 12:30pm

• Third Sunday of the month: Baptism St Joseph’s at 12:30pm

• Fourth Sunday of the month: Baptism St Ambrose’s at 11:45am

• Second, third, fourth, fifth Sunday during Mass at any of the four churches

Please note that in January 2026, baptisms will be held within scheduled Mass times only.

During Lent (18 February – 2 April 2026), baptisms will not be celebrated during Masses.

Baptism Preparation Session

The preparation session helps parents deepen their understanding of Baptism as a vital step in their child’s faith journey and provides an opportunity to ask questions.

Attendance is required for both parents and Godparent is highly recommended to attend.

• Location: St Ambrose’s Parish Community Centre, 287 Sydney Road, Brunswick

• Time: Third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm (approx. 1 hour)

• Parking: Available in front of the church
