Events

On 19 November 2023, there will a be a day of celebration for the 150th anniversary of the opening and blessing of St Ambrose’s church in Brunswick. All are welcome to join us for the celebrations!

The order of events on the day are as follows:

10.30am: Mass will be celebrated in the church. Archbishop Peter Comensoli will join visiting priests and former Parish Priests of St Ambrose’s who will celebrate the Mass with us.

12.00 noon: There will be a catered lunch in the grounds of the church.

2.00pm: The musical group, Progetto Corelli, will perform a concert of Baroque music in the church.

These events will be free of charge. All are welcome!

On the day, an illustrated booklet with a brief history of St Ambrose’s will be given to all attendees. There will be activities for children and families, along with a challenge to identify the saints in the church statues and stained-glass windows.

Everyone will be invited to contribute a leaf to a ‘History Tree’ that will be in the grounds of the church. The leaves will represent those who have gone before us over 150 years, as well as ourselves and our families who have some connection to the tree 150 years later.
